The Jacobite Studies (JST) conference on "Jacobitism and War" will be held in Florence, Italy, on 22-24 May 2020.   (Version française ci-dessous)
The conference will consist of panels and plenary sessions addressing the connections between Jacobitism, anti-Jacobitism or fear of Jacobitism, and diplomatic, military and naval history in Europe and beyond, from the Revolution of 1688 to the end of the 18th century. 
Each panel will include two to three 20-minute papers and be followed by questions from the audience.  There will also be a plenary lecture by Professor Murray Pittock, Bradley Chair of English Literature at the University of Glasgow. 
Please note that, because of space considerations, enrollment for the conference is limited to 35 people. Online enrolment for attendees, whether presenters or non-presenters, will be opened through Eventbrite on 1 October 2019.  Arrangements for conference accommodation bookings at a nearby hotel will be announced on this website shortly

Colloque du Jacobite Studies Trust
« Le Jacobitisme et la Guerre »
Florence, Italie, vendredi 22 mai – dimanche 24 mai 2020.
Ce colloque comprend des communications et des séances concernant les rapports entre le Jacobitisme, l’anti-Jacobitisme ou la peur du Jacobitisme et l’histoire diplomatique, militaire et navale, en Europe et au monde, de la Révolution Glorieuse de 1688 jusqu’à la fin du 18e siècle.
Chaque communication durera 20 minutes ; les séances comprendront deux ou trois communications ; les questions venant de l’assistance suivront à la fin de la séance. Une conférence plénière sera présentée par le professeur Murray Pittock, Bradley Chair de Littérature Anglaise à l’Université de Glasgow.
Pour des raisons d’espaces, l’enregistrement pour le colloque sera limité à 35 personnes. L’enregistrement sur ligne des participants, qu’ils soient intervenants ou non-intervenants, devient accessible le 1 octobre 2019 sur Eventbrite. Les modalités d’hébergement chez un hôtel à proximité seront bientôt annoncées sur ce site.
